Job Description
- Develop strategic plan & do feasibility checks by studying technical parameters at the beginning of the project
- Shall be well versed with all Indian and International codes for material, design, detailing and finishes. Able to review shop drawings prepared by contractor
- Shall be able to work on various Structural engineering software’s Etabs, SAFE, CSI Col, SAP and able to work around Autocad, Revit etc. Undertake and validate Global analysis and understand the overall behavior of structure, review lateral & gravity system and propose necessary changes as per the design requirements. Review of design calculations of various structural elements/members.
- Must be able to apply critical thinking and provide creative solutions to unique structural design encountered in the tall & high rise structures with focus on Seismic and wind resistant design.
- Responsible for start to end of the projects which comprises of Concept, Schematic, Design development and construction phase, projects monitoring, Engineering, contracts, tendering, procurement, planning & budgeting, cost monitoring, quality, safety, innovation etc.
- Role includes conceptualization, inputs for project design development, consistent value engineering, interface for approval liasioning, ensuring structural stability and cost-effective buildings.
- Ensure cost are well within the industry standards and per approved budget
- Shall be able to develop detailed scope of work, finalize contracts, role and fees, quality levels and project timelines and ensure deliverables are aligned as per that.
- Co-ordination with various departments like Liaison, design, execution, sales & marketing for proper and smooth functioning. Provide inputs, review, revalidate & finalize project drawings as agreed by the Management and other stakeholders.
- Developing and implementing growth strategies by exploring latest technologies in design and construction industry
- Attending design review meetings and suggest necessary changes for design development of projects and per requirements set by leadership
- Preparation and monitoring project progress, deliverables and highlight critical issues as and when required.
- Collaborate with Peer review consultants and continuously explore technical advances to do VE and reduce the overall cost.
- Regular site visits to monitor contractor’s work for compliance with schedule, budget, quality etc. Support and interaction execution team and understand construction challenges, problems at site and work around those for remedial measures.
- Develop network with Industry professionals and keeping updates of ongoing development trends to create a database for knowledge management for the organization.
- Take initiative in developing internal standards and bring in the learnings from across the projects to have uniformity and consistency across all the projects.
